The theme is the Best of Missouri Painters and is being held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Best of Missouri Market. Description: Watercolorist Catherine Mahoney will offer a day-long workshop for beginners as well as experienced artists. This instruction will be using common household art and materials to produce a "texture-filled watercolor painting" after Paul Klee's "Remembrance in a Garden."

Open to any age; 12 participants maximum. $50

Life Blood Exhibit Opens Thursday

The Life Blood Exhibit opens Thursday at Gallery Visio.
This travelling exhibition explores the theme of women's reproductive health from coming of age to motherhood to menopause and more. Each showing features new and different artists and artworks alongside past inclusions.

Some works are humorous while others are serious, but all are thought-provoking. Life Blood Exhibit is a travelling group art exhibit curated by Jennifer Weigel and themed around menstruation and women's reproductive health.

Beginning to Intermediate Watercolor on Mondays 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Not only learn the basics, but how and when to use various techniques, and learn to discover “why not”, and “how far can I take watercolors”. Discover the creative side, by including that extra ingredient for dynamic richness that the media has to offer.

The following classes will be offered at Wilmes Fine Art Studio, located in Wentzville, MO.
Linda will demonstrate in all of the classes. A variety of subject matter will be used, along with many techniques. Various color schemes will be used to create vibrant and dynamic finished work. Discussions will include basic composition, value, color and temperature balance. Classes are in four week sessions at a fee of $125.00 per session, payable one week before each session. The classes are on going and each class will add building blocks of information and techniques to advance your painting. Call early, a supply list will be mailed after registration.
