Resident artist Catherine Mahoney was recently accepted into two "top-notch" international art shows. One of these is the 2008 Watercolor Missouri National, a "very strong watermedia show". Catherine's painting, "Joe: Autumn Joy" (of her young grandson) has been placed in the Top 10 and has received the "Award of Distinction". Congratulations, Catherine!

Puppies are Biodegradable
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Puppies are Biodegradable, either as an artist, visitor to the gallery, contributor to the cause, or as a buyer. More than two dozen pieces of art were purchased through the gallery either during the benefit reception on April 6 or at Humane Day in Jefferson City on April 8. In addition to the donations made to MAAL via art sales, there was in excess of $700 raised by the benefit reception. Please visit our website to learn more about the exhibit and view the pieces included.
