New Painting by Linda Smith

Pink On Monroe is part of a series by Linda Smith on scenes in Chicago. Forgive my photo (all of them, actually!) it doesn't do justice to the colors in this rich oil painting, size 24" x 18" plus a nice wide black frame.

Margogh's new website

Margogh has a new website at www.margogh.com. Please check in often to see new work.

Dan Fishback's updated exhibit

Daniel Fishback visited last week and updated his exhibit space with several new pieces. His new work includes a mix of photographs and abstract oil paintings. His new oils are rich in color and very textural. Some tectured areas are patterned in such a way that they contrast the slick appearance of the gloss surface. Better images of the oil paintings are available on his website.

The awards were announced at a public reception at Framations on Saturday, February 10. The winners were:

Best of Show: Hidden Away by Linda Smith

Second Place: Quail Trail Park by Jaci Lawson
Third Place: Sunflowers Away by Michele Wells

Honorable Mentions:

The top four winners will have an exhibit of new work in the Framations feature galleries later this year.

New piece added by Jessica Dreyer

Jessica Dreyer brought in a piece today, called Galaxy. It is an abstract acrylic painting on 30" x 40" gallery wrap canvas. It employs a strong use of layers, textures, and muted primary colors.
