Solo Show by Margogh at Framin' Place in Chesterfield

Framin' Place and Gallery in Chesterfield opens a new exhibit this weekend of work by Framations' Resident Artist Margogh. Margo Gleason, who is known as “Margogh” through her art, works in oil painting and black-and-white photography. “After I had a career in the corporate world, I made some changes in my life,” the artist told us. “I enrolled in classes, and received a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art from Lindenwood University at the age of 54.”

Her travels have inspired her work and style as well. “I have been able to travel extensively in Europe, once to Egypt, and especially several trips to Italy, a favorite of mine. I visit every museum I can find along the way, and have had opportunities to visit museums in Holland that the average tourist does not see. I would study brush strokes, along with color and grounds of the Masters.”

During her Gallery show, the public will be given an opportunity to meet and talk with Margogh in person. Framin’ Place & Gallery will host an Artist’s Reception in the Gallery on Friday, August 29th from 4:30 – 7:00pm. The public is invited.

The Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and on Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 4:30pm. For more information, contact Framin’ Place & Gallery at 314.469.6610, or
