Classes taught by Catherine Mahoney

Catherine is currently teaching both Adult and Student's classes now in Hermann, MO, called "Young-At-Art". They are for the next Thursday evenings, 7-9 PM through July 12. The cost for Adults is $25.00/ea. And the ten Student's (aged 6 years - 16 years enrolled ) are held every other day through the end of June, 5 lessons in all, from 9 AM - 3 PM, at $35.00/each/day.

In all classes Catherine will be leading an investigating in taking a "Dot for a Dance, and a Line for a Walk", adding monoprinting then the fundamentals of Oils on canvas, using both brushes and palette knives in the studio and en plein air! Students will be going out on location to learn how to mass values together in nature's forms, and how light affects color similar to Monet's technique!

After the classes, in which the young people experience as much art as is held typically in one year's instruction in public school--it is intense, with great works produced--students will have a show together of their works in the Scenic Regional Library-Hermann in the fall to culminate the year's achievements.

Contact Catherine to sign up for classes. She has been an art instructor since 1975.
